What Do You Know About the History of Disposable Vapes?

Aug 17, 2022 | 0 comments

It was in 2021 when disposable vapes become prevalent in the market. Sure, they have already been in the industry for years on end, but it was just last year that they reached their peak.

While disposable vapes aren’t a new category, it wasn’t born in the e-cigarette industry in the past two years. As a matter of fact, they have already been available for over 10 years.

Although, why haven’t we heard of disposable vapes back then?

Back in 2015, JUUL came out and broke the record in the American market. This paved the way for most e-cigarettes – disposable or not – to get people’s attention.

Then in 2019, the United States announced a flavor ban on these e-cigarettes.

Frankly, the flavor ban might’ve stunted the growth of disposable vapes because most people who wanted to try these things are in it for the flavor. If they couldn’t have the flavor that they wanted to try, then what’s the point in even buying it?

This was the mentality that most consumers had back in those years, and we really can’t blame them for it as it was valid reasoning.

So when most manufacturers finally found a loophole or a new way to sell flavored e-cigarettes, they went for it.

Let’s fast forward to today, it’s 2022 and we have seen a rise in disposable vape users.

We can’t say for sure if there would be more bans in the United States, but we hope that we’re all way past that because the industry is booming and it has become a great way to quit smoking cigarettes.
